Ang mga retail account ay madalas na nawawalan ng pera sa mga leveraged CFD - ipagsapalaran lamang ang ekstrang kapital.
Spread data beats marketing copy. Every broker claims tight pricing, and almost none publish the numbers you actually fill at. That is the single metric this page is built around.
Our method is simple to state and slow to run. We take EightCap's advertised conditions, cross-check them against the facts a Philippines-based client can verify, and separate what is documented from what is not. You get the test logic, the numbers, and the parts that stay unverified.
What We Measure First
The order of testing is deliberate: cost per round turn, then fill behaviour, then the operational layer that decides whether you can actually get money in and out.
| Layer | What we test | Result for EightCap |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing | Spread + commission per lot | Standard: from 1.0 pip, no commission |
| Pricing | Raw account model | Raw: from 0.0 pips + USD 3.50/side |
| Access | Minimum na deposito | USD 100 |
| Range | Instruments available | 800+ CFDs across 6 asset classes |
| Mga platform | Terminal count | MT4, MT5, TradingView, WebTrader, TradeLocker |
| Pagpopondo | Deposit/withdrawal fees | None charged by the broker |
A Standard account round turn on EURUSD at a 1.0 pip spread costs roughly USD 10 per standard lot. Raw costs USD 7.00 in commission plus the raw spread. That is the arithmetic decision point, and it flips depending on volume. Under about 2 lots a month, commission-free usually wins.
The Account Math
Two account types, two cost structures, one threshold that separates them.
| Standard | Raw | |
|---|---|---|
| Min deposit | USD 100 | USD 100 |
| Spread from | 1.0 pip | 0.0 pips |
| Commission | Wala | USD 3.50 per lot per side |
| Round-turn commission | USD 0 | USD 7.00 |
| Best suited to | Low-frequency, smaller size | Higher volume, scalping |
| Break-even vs other model | Below ~2 lots/month | Above ~2 lots/month |
The break-even sits where the raw spread plus USD 7.00 equals the Standard spread. On a pair with a 0.1 pip raw spread, that crossover lands around 0.9-1.0 standard lots per month. Run your own volume through it before choosing.
Where Leverage Fits
EightCap offers up to 1:500 on forex through its offshore entity. That number is set by the offshore regulator, not by any Philippine authority.
For a Philippines resident this matters for one practical reason: the local frame is different. BSP Circular No. 969 (2017) historically framed retail FX leverage around 1:25 for products offered locally, and reform proposals have discussed tightening CFD leverage toward roughly 1:20-1:30. Those proposals are not confirmed as enacted. Meanwhile the SEC does not currently issue local retail forex or CFD dealer licences, so most Filipinos trade with offshore-regulated brokers.
| + | Forex / CFD | available |
| + | Lokal na stock | available |
| – | US stock | not available |
| + | Crypto | available |
| + | Mga commodity | available |
At 1:500, a 0.2% adverse move against a fully margined position removes the entire margin. That is arithmetic about the leverage number, not a comment about the broker, and it is why we treat high leverage as a cost input rather than a feature.
What the Numbers Say About Access
EightCap's instrument range is broad, and for a Philippines client the useful part is the mix.
| Instrument class | Count | Practical note |
|---|---|---|
| Forex pairs | ~56 | Covers majors, crosses, exotics |
| Share/ETF CFDs | ~580 | Wider than most forex-first brokers |
| Crypto CFD | 100+ coins | Deepest single category |
| Mga Indise | Multiple | Cash and futures-style exposure |
| Metals and energies | Multiple | Separate from the forex block |
| Total | 800+ | Confirmed at review |
The Regulatory Layer
Regulation is one input, not the whole verdict. The confirmed position is straightforward.
EightCap serves Philippine retail clients through Eightcap Global Limited, registered in the Bahamas under SCB licence SIA-F220. There is no Philippine SEC licence. The SEC publishes advisories against unlicensed investment solicitation, and its advisory list is dynamic. Named forex/CFD-related advisories through 2026 include Exness, HFM/HF Markets, Interactive Brokers (IBKR), VT Markets and FBS/FBS Markets Inc.

Retail forex and CFD trading is legal for individuals in the Philippines, but no established SEC regime issues local retail forex or CFD broker licences. Selling or soliciting investments without SEC registration is unlawful, and the SEC issues advisories against unauthorised firms. You can verify any firm at sec.gov.ph and the eRAMP portal, and read current advisories at the SEC advisories page.
Read that as a checklist item, not a disqualifier. An offshore licence tells you which regulator supervises the entity and what that supervision does not reach. It does not tell you whether the broker is honest. Stronger-tier oversight (FCA, CySEC, ASIC), segregated client funds, transparent costs and a long track record are the criteria that separate brokers inside this category.
Funding and Conversion Costs
Local rails decide how fast money moves and what it costs to move it.
| Step | Local reality | Typical timing |
|---|---|---|
| E-wallet deposit (GCash, Maya) | Widely supported by offshore brokers | Near-instant |
| InstaPay transfer | Real-time, 24/7, PHP 50,000 per-txn cap | Same day |
| PESONet transfer | Batch, higher value, next-cycle | 1 business day |
| Card or bank wire | Accepted | 1-3 business days |
| Withdrawal to e-wallet/bank | Common local expectation | 1-3 business days |
EightCap reports Dragonpay for the region, plus cards, bank wire, Skrill and Neteller. No broker-side deposit or withdrawal fees were confirmed. The cost that does not disappear is currency conversion: accounts are held in USD, EUR and similar base currencies, so PHP to USD conversion carries roughly 1-3% in spread and fees. That is a real cost per deposit, and it compounds if you fund in small amounts often.
The wider FX picture: the Philippines operates liberalised but monitored FX rules under BSP. There is no confirmed fixed universal cap on personal outward transfers, but certain purposes carry documentation and registration thresholds, and outward investments above BSP thresholds may require registration for future repatriation through the banking system. Verify current rules at bsp.gov.ph.
Islamikong account at swap-free na opsyon
Islamic or swap-free accounts are reported inconsistently for EightCap. A dedicated swap-free option was not verified at the time of review. In the Philippines, where Muslim clients are concentrated in Mindanao and BARMM, that is a niche rather than mainstream demand, and most major offshore brokers still offer a swap-free option on request. If it applies to you, confirm it in writing before funding.

No Philippines-specific promotion was verified. Deposit bonuses are worth less than tighter spreads anyway.
The bigger unverified item is execution data. We report advertised spreads and confirmed fee structures. We do not publish fill-quality statistics for EightCap because we have not run the necessary volume to make that claim honestly. Treat quoted spreads as a starting point and measure your own fills.
At 1:500, position sizing does the risk work, not the platform. A 0.1 lot EURUSD position with a 1.0 pip spread costs about USD 1 in spread at Standard rates. The same position at full margin has a very different downside profile. Keep the two numbers separate in your head.
What the Testing Actually Changes
The method exists to move you away from feature lists and toward three measurable things: cost per round turn, funding friction, and the regulatory tier of the entity holding your money.
| Method | Deposit arrives | Withdrawal takes |
|---|---|---|
| Plus cards | instant | 2-5 business days |
| Bank wire | 1-3 business days | 3-5 business days |
| Skrill | instant | within 24 hours |
| Neteller | instant | within 24 hours |
On EightCap, the confirmed picture is a broker with a broad CFD range, two clear account models, a USD 100 entry point, no broker-side transfer fees, and an offshore Bahamas licence for Philippine clients. The two account models give you a genuine choice, and the break-even is calculable rather than vague.
What our testing does not do is substitute for your own due diligence. Check the SEC advisories page before funding any broker, confirm the licence on the regulator's own register, and test a small withdrawal early rather than waiting until you need the money out.
Mga Tanong
How do we calculate EightCap's real trading cost?
+
Take the spread plus commission per round turn. Standard is the quoted spread from 1.0 pip with no commission. Raw is the raw spread plus USD 7.00 per standard lot round turn. The cheaper model depends on your monthly volume, and the crossover sits near 1 standard lot per month on a tight major.
Is 1:500 leverage set by a Philippine regulator?
+
No. The 1:500 cap comes from the offshore entity, not from any Philippine authority. BSP Circular No. 969 historically framed locally offered retail FX leverage around 1:25, and reform proposals discussing roughly 1:20-1:30 are not confirmed as enacted. Confirm current rules at bsp.gov.ph.
How fast are withdrawals to Philippine accounts?
+
Brokers commonly process withdrawals in 1-3 business days, and local expectations run on that timeline. EightCap reports Dragonpay for the region alongside cards, bank wire, Skrill and Neteller, with no broker-side withdrawal fees confirmed. E-wallet deposits are typically near-instant.
What does the offshore licence not cover?
+
It does not place EightCap under Philippine regulatory supervision. Client-money protection, complaint escalation and dispute resolution follow the Bahamas SCB framework rather than local rules. That is the standard trade-off for offshore access, and it is the reason licence tier, fund segregation and track record should sit at the top of your checklist.
